Kimora: Celebrating Evolution

And, the beat goes on. Kimora mentioned the other day that she was on the cover of the latest Jet Magazine and I couldn't wait to read the article. Writer Miki Turner does a fantastic job in those little pages of telling readers what Kimora has been up to and what a really busy life she leads.

Turner talks about the girls (Ming and Aoki) and that little goodie gum drop Kenzo Lee and the big goodie gum drop, Kimora's baby daddy, boo, luva luva, man and husband, Djimon Hounsou. It was such a great read and as I mentioned on Twitter earlier today, the discussion about Kimora and Djimon was very touching. He especially said some truly sweet words about her.

"I find her to be contagious and inspiring with a personality that is encouraging to others." Smoking, right?! Damn! That's a lil bit more than just some old run of the mill, "yeah, she's great," "she's a sweetie", etc. Those are the words of a man who has truly thought about how and why he loves his woman and it's just great.

Turner talks to Kimora about parting ways with Baby Phat, something that I hope will continue (Letting people know that Kimora is no longer heading up the brand, which Kellwood Company failed to do.) and it's all very exciting. Kimora tells Turner, "I'm in a very good place. By letting go of Baby Phat, it allows me the time and the focus to concentrate on an entire generation that has grown up with me. It's time."

Indeed! Pick up a copy of the March 14, 2011 edition of Jet Magazine and read the rest of the article. There are some great little nuggets in there! What? You thought I was gonna type up the whole damn article for ya?! Hell no. It costs $1.99. I got mine at Rite Aid.

Remember, don't buy any Baby Phat or Phat Farm clothing items. There is more than enough information right here on this little blog and elsewhere over the internet to let you know why you shouldn't. If you want to support Kimora, there are dozens of ways and reasons why you can continue to do so without having to spend a cent on Baby Phat.

Check out her newly designed website, http://www.kls.com/ and show her some love. Click "Brands" when you get there and get to shopping! --Sugar
